Embracing the Imperfect

March 30, 2014

For as long as I can remember, I've avoided including power lines, cell towers, street lights, etc.. in my photographs.  I always saw them as something that shouldn't be included in my compositions.  They were extraneous bits that were getting in the way of my otherwise "perfect" image.  I'd change my position, select a different lens, crop, or just give up entirely and not even make an image with the irratating stuff in it.  That "stuff" exists in this world and I can no longer try to avoid it.  I've decided to embrace these things that have annoyed me for so long.  It is no longer something to be avoided but something I am embracing as a subject. As always, comments are appreciated
