Textures: Grit and Wet

I love texture in photography, which is probably why I just about always work in black and white. Black and white photography has the ability to really bring out textural attributes in a way that color photography can not.  By removing the color, other attributes of the image come alive.  Texture being one of them. As always, comments are appreciated

View from 35,000 ft?

Obviously not from 35,000 ft, but these pictures do remind me of looking down on rivers and tributaries from high above the earth's surface.  They make me feel like I'm daydreaming that I'm on a plane traveling somewhere new and exciting. As always, comments are appreciated

Not what I expected

I always get excited when the Lone Star Rally comes to town.  I've been taking pictures for some time at the yearly rally and posted about it here and here.  Again this year, I planned to add more images to my ongoing project of Motorcycle Abstracts, but a funny thing happened.  I only took two pictures of motorcycles.  Instead, I took pictures of the hot rod and car show being held at the rally.  I find it interesting how quickly my focus changed course and I believe it was a good thing. As always, comments are appreciated
